Upon completion of this course, the attendee will be able to:
- Briefly describe the history of the title industry
- Define what is a Title and how it relates to real estate transactions.
- List and define the common legal terms in the real estate Title industry.
- Understanding the Real Property Law and its relationship to Titles.
- List and define the common ways in which titles for real property (such as real estate) are created.
- Explain the basic structure and the four types of Deeds.
- Differentiate between the Types of Deeds by discussing scenarios where each is used.
- List and define the common tasks of the registry of deeds
- List five instrumentalities, other than deeds, that create titles.
- List and define the principal roles and tasks of a real estate agent in processing Titles and Deeds.
- List the most common red flags in real estate transactions resulting from Title or Deed Complications.
This is an online course and will be taught remotely by the instructor using Zoom’s virtual meeting technology.
